I'm a true oatmeal cookie monster... I just counted, as well as January 2018, I've shared 47 oatmeal cookie recipes along with you. Eep! Have you tried any of these yet? (? You can locate all of my oatmeal cookie recipes right there!) They are some of the most well-known recipes in my blog because they taste really sweet and cozy, just like traditional"indulgent" oatmeal cookie recipes, but they include no refined flour or sugar!
So you're going to start with whole wheat flour (or fermented, if you would like ) and prompt oats (like those... or these for a gluten free version!) . Instant oats are thinner and smaller than traditional rolled oats, and you are able to see them in canisters right next to those traditional oats at the grocery shop.
I probably sound like a broken record by now... But because I ? you and also need your cookies to flip out perfectly soft and chewy, I am reminding you again... Quantify your yogurt and bread properly, using this method or a kitchen scale! (? That's the one I own and adore. Too much of either ingredient is likely to make your biscuits taste cakey or sterile, as opposed to chewy. This is especially true of the oats--they act like little sponges and consume lots of moisture out of your cookie dough!
Ripe bananas- ideal for baking! Really like all @amybakeshealthy's yummy & healthful banana recipes!
Watch these bananas? And all of those brown stains? If it comes to baking with bananas, brown = beautiful! I ? extra speckly bananas because they have a lot glowing, bold taste --along with additional natural sweetness! That is the minimum number of brown that I recommend. More is even better!
The remaining part of the cookie dough's sweetness comes in a different organic ingredient... Pure maple syrup (such as that!) . You would like the my site type that comes straight from pine trees, which is typically sold in sparse glass jars or squat, round plastic jugs. Forget the pancake sugar and sugar-free syrup!

The pancakes include much more sweetness! The recently purchased, extra plump, perfectly tender ones are ideal... But if you have older, somewhat dried out raisins (hmm... it sounds absurd to explain dried fruit as dried outside! ) , that's okay!
Only add them into some microwave-safe bowl, and pour water on top until they're completely coated. Seal plastic wrap over the top, and microwave the bowl on high for 1 second. If you allow the peppers sit while mixing together the cookie dough, this small trick hydrates them so they're exceptionally juicy--and that makes a significant difference in these cookies once they're baked!

Healthy Banana Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
Yields: 15 biscuits
These oatmeal biscuits are soft, chewy, and full of banana flavor! The recognizable comfy spices and plump raisins make these even more irresistible. They'll keep for a minumum of one week if kept in an airtight container in the refrigerator--if they last that long!
1 cup (100g) instant oats (fermented if needed and measured like that )
3/4 cup (90g) whole wheat or fermented * flour (measured like this)
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
2 tablespoons (28g) unsalted butter or coconut oil, melted and cooled slightly
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup (120mL) pure maple syrup
1/4 cup (40g) raisins
In a medium bowlwhisk together the oats, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Add in the flour mixture, stirring just until incorporated. Fold in the raisins. Let the cookie dough rest for 10 minutes.
Using a spoon and spatula, dip the cookie dough into 15 curved scoops on the sheet, and flatten to the desired thickness and width by means Chocolate Chip Banana Oatmeal Cookies Produce For Kids of a spatula. Bake at 325°F for 10-12 minutes. Cool to the pan for 10 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack.
Notes: It is extremely important to measure both the wheat and oats properly employing this technique or a kitchen scale. (? That's the one I own and love!) Too much of either would dry out the biscuits and leave them cakey rather than chewy.
Immediate oats are also known as quick-cooking or moment oats. They arrive in huge canisters, exactly like old-fashioned oats. They're not the ones in the small flavored packets of oatmeal. To create your own, add the same amount of conservative oats to a food processor, and pulse 10-12 days or until the oats will be about 1/4 into ? of their initial size.
For the fermented flour, I recommend the following blend: 1/2 cup (60g) millet flour, 2 tbsp (15g) tapioca flour, 2 tbsp (15g) brown rice flour, also 1/2 teaspoon xanthan gum. Most store-bought fermented flour blends (such as that one!) Will also do the job, if quantified like this.
If your raisins are old, drier, and not so plump or juicy... Add them to a microwave-safe bowl, and pour water on top till they're completely covered. Seal plastic wrap over the surface, and microwave the bowl on high for 1 minute. Should you allow the peppers sit while mixing together the cookie dough, then this small hint hydrates them they're really soft and juicy!
